He was born in Prague. He graduated from the Faculty of Medicine of Charles University in 1989. He decided to focus on the field of gynaecology and obstetrics during his studies. After completing his mandatory military service, he joined the Institute for Mother and Child Care in Podolí, Prague. In 1993, he obtained certification in Gynecology and Obstetrics, I. degree, then in 2000, certification II. degree. He has been interested in reproductive medicine since 1994, when he started working at the Department of Assisted Reproduction of the ÚPMD, and has been working continuously in this field since then. In 1996, he and his entire team started working in the newly established Pronatal Sanatorium, a centre for assisted reproduction. In 2015, he obtained certification in the field of Reproductive Medicine. He joined the team of doctors working at the Gynem clinic in February 2023.

He continuously expands his knowledge in the field of reproductive medicine, regularly participates in educational events in the Czech Republic and abroad and is a co-author of several publications in professional journals. During his practice, he has been engaged in diagnostic and operative hysteroscopy. In his free time, he is involved in sports -  tennis and cycling. He appreciates good food, especially Mediterranean cuisine, and good music.
